Wordchute was developed with the goal to provide a quick and easy way to
create, manage and edit RSS feeds for syndication to various destinations -
particularly complex HTML and web mark-up content. Over time however, as ideas
were thrown around and different possiblities became apparent, the project
transformed to include many more options and features which would allow users
to create and share content with the least amount of effort.
Upload & share photos and embedded videos. With Wordchute you are able to upload files and photos or easily link or embed
content from other sources such as YouTube or Photobucket. In addition, Wordchute
allows you to edit the HTML mark-up so that everything will look exactly right when
it appears on your website or blog.
Repost an item from another user's feed and receive automatic updates when it is edited. If you like something you see, why not share it with your audience too?
With a simple click you can add another user's entire posting - mark-up and all - to
your own feed. And even better still, when the author makes changes or edits, your
feed will automatically update as well.
Increase inbound traffic to your website(s). In addition the the usual benefits of having an RSS feed, Wordchute allows you
to greatly expand the number of backlinks to your website(s). You can add different
links to individual items in your feed, and you can also edit the mark-up to drive
traffic to just about anywhere on the web. Furthermore, as your contacts list grows
and more of your feed items are reposted, the number of incoming links to your
website(s) will grow steadily as well.
Manage multiple feeds and share only what you want to share. Wordchute makes it easy to create and edit new feeds with a variety of destinations
in mind, such specialized feeds for updating web pages. It is possile to block feeds
from public view or restrict the reposting of content so that you control who sees
them and ensure they are protected.
Everyone's in the loop. With an abundance of aggregators and subscription options out there, as well
as RSS options for other social networks and your own Wordchute network, eveyone
is sure to stay in the loop. And the ability to edit old posts and share
information with repostings - as well as being able to share Google Maps, YouTube
videos, etc, etc - means that eveyone will know where the party is and what
time it starts.
